What is Dungreed

Dungreed Game Information

Dungreed is a Rogue-lite side-scrolling action platform game developed by Korean indie game production team ‘TEAM HORAY’. This was released at the 2017 BIC event. The name is a compound word of ‘Dungeon’ and ‘Greed’. This game is a side scrolling platform game in which player enter the dungeon to gain weapons and improve stats. The graphics in this game are large dot graphics with pixels.

Dungreed beginner’s Guide

Every time the player enters the dungeon in the game, it starts on the first floor. There is a boss battle on every even number floor (ex : 2,4,6,8,10) and the theme changes when you defeat the boss. The structure of the dungeon is random. However, the order of themes is always the same. The shape of each room is somewhat constant, so you can learn some patterns if you play repeatedly.

The dungeon has shops and restaurants on every floor. In addition, player can purchase weapons, accessories, and armor that are given at random in the store. The restaurant sells food and serves to raise the character’s stats. However, improved stats with food disappear at the end of the expedition.

In Dungreed, dying or giving up in the dungeon will pay off player’s achievements. Also, it increases player’s level and initial maximum cap capacity as a reward. However, if you force the game off, the player returns to town and the rewards disappear. The maximum level is 30 and the last floor of the dungeon is 15.

Once you build a training camp, you can grow your stats through the levels. Players will receive a basic 2000 gold, and an additional 100 gold when level up. Players can build buildings with gold which earned from dungeon. In addition, players can restore villages through rescued villagers. Every time build a building, new NPCs appear other than the ones you rescued. As a result, after keep playing, the town becomes abundant. No conversation is possible except for the rescued NPC, and there is no role for each.
