What is Brawl Stars Takedown Mode(Event)?
“Make more damage against the Boss than the other players. The more damage you make, the higher you will rank in the match.”
Brawl Stars Takedown Mode(Event) is one of Brawl Stars’ game modes, based on Showdown mode. This mode was shown in the September 3rd update. The goal of this mode is to have damage dealt to the boss robot, while also attacking other players and after the boss dies, the one with the most damage wins. Boss’s HP is 220,000, and power cubes will be generated around the map. Power Cubes can be found across the map at certain spawn points or dropped when a player dies. They increase the Brawler’s health by 400 and increases their attack damage by 10% linearly for everyone in possession, and about a third of them are dropped upon death, with the rest disappearing.
Takedown Mode(Event) has a large battlefield similar to Solo Showdown mode, where battles take place. At the beginning of the game, 10 brawlers are spawned at random locations, and at the same time, Boss Robot appears on the battlefield. Unlike in Boss Fight mode, however, the super attack gauge will not be charged even if you attack the boss in this mode. The way to win this mode is to deal as much damage as possible on this robot boss. It is ranked from 1st to 10th based on the amount of accumulated damage.
In this mode, power cubes are spawned at fixed locations throughout the map. This power cube is not in a box, unlike the power cube that comes out in Showdown mode. Instead, it’s spawned on the floor, so it’s easy to get it. In addition, power cube will be automatically regenerated in the same location over time, even if it is once acquired. The time it takes for the power cube to be regenerated is 5 or 10 seconds or more, depending on the situation.
When a player kills an opponent brawler, the power cube will be dropped as in Showdown mode. The brawler that has more power cubes will drop more power cubes when the brawler dies. A dead brawler resurrects in a random location after some time.
In this mode, the boss robot’s attack patterns changes each time the map changes. The boss will fire lasers, will shoot energy balls, and will fire missiles. Sometimes, it will also use a shield that is immune to all attacks.
Tips & Strategy
The basic strategy to win Brawl Stars Takedown Mode(Event) is to deal as much damage as possible to the boss robot. The crucial difference between this mode and Boss Fight mode is that the opponent brawlers are more threats than the boss robots. In particular, there are more players die from their opponent brawlers rather than players die from the boss robot. When the player dies, they have to spend time to find the boss robot again and power cube will be reset. Therefore, no matter how much a player resurrects, it is a huge loss to die many times. In conclusion, in Takedown Mode(Event), not only the ability to deal a lot of damage to boss robot, but also the ability to kill opponent brawlers and the ability to get away quickly is important.
Power cubes play an important role in this mode. Collecting more power cubes can deal more damage to the boss and lessen your chances of being easily killed by your opponent brawler. However, if you focus too much on collecting power cubes, you may not deal much damage to boss robot. This will eventually higher the chance to lose the game. So, the smartest strategy is to avoid wasting your time on power cubes unless they happen to be in your way. When the game starts, just go to the boss robot. When the boss in immunity, stay close to the boss and pick up power cubes. It is also not recommended to focus too much on fighting opponent brawlers. Because no matter how many opponent brawlers you kill, you won’t win the game unless you damage the boss robot.
Given these points, brawlers like Leon, Colt, etc, who have high DPS and can safely attack boss robot, are preferred. This is because these long ranged high firepower brawlers are great for attacking boss robot and at the same time keeping your opponent brawlers in check. Also, Brock and Piper are useful in this mode because they can deal a lot of damage to boss robot. If the map has a lot of walls, thrower type brawlers like Dynamike are also useful.
It is not a good idea to rely heavily on Auto-aim in this mode. Be especially careful when playing long range brawlers. When playing a long rang brawler, attacking the nearby boss robot with Auto-aim can lead to the wrong attack of your opponent brawler. This should also be noted when you play the melee type brawler.
There are currently 7 modifiers in the game, and 3 of them are for Takedown mode.
