What is Brawl Stars Heist Mode(Event)?
Both teams to try open each others’ safe before the time runs out!
HEIST
Shoot open the enemy safe
Brawl Stars Heist Mode(Event) is one of the Brawl Stars game modes, added as a May 2018 patch, and a remake version of the original Heist.
Heist Mode(Event) has two teams, each consisting of three players. Each team will compete to destroy the opposing team’s safes, and the team that destroyed the opposing team’s safes first wins the game.
Basic Rules
In Heist Mode (Event), there is a safe with 45,000 health in each team’s area. The goal of the game is to destroy opponent’s safe while protecting your team safe. Basically, the team that first destroys the opponent’s safe will automatically win. If both teams fail to destroy the safe within the time limit, the remaining health of the safe determines the winner of the game. In this case, if one team’s safe has lower health than the other, that other team wins the game.
If both team’s safes have the exact same amount of health percentage after the timer runs out, then it is a draw. Also, even if both teams destroy the opposing team’s safes at the exact same time, it is a draw. However, it is very unlikely that both teams destroy the opposing team’s safes at the exact same time.
Tips & Strategy
Heist Mode(Event) is the mode to say that an attack is the best defense. As mention above, you can win the game by destroying the opposing safe without killing any single brawler. Therefore, in this mode, a character that can do a lot of damage to the safe is preferred. The higher the brawler’s firepower, the easier it is to defend team’s safe and the easier it is to defeat enemy forces who have come to destroy the safe. So, the character who has high attack power are preferred in this mode, and tanker type brawler who has high firepower and has dashing skills are popular.
In the past, there was a wall in front of the safe, making it difficult to attack the safe. Therefore, in the past, thrower type or tanker type brawlers were preferred. However, with the January 2019 patch, the walls that were blocking the front of the safe disappeared, and as more maps were added, the proportion of long ranged brawlers has been increased.
Heist Mode(Event) is a mode that there is a clear distinction between a useful brawler and a useless brawler.
First of all, brawlers with low DPS are not suitable for this mode. These characters are not only hard to destroy the opposing team safe, but also difficult to deal with players who come to attack friendly team safe. Also, characters with low health and short effective range are not used as well.
Tanker type brawlers with strong attack power are used frequently regardless of map type. In the case of these brawlers, they can do great damage against to the opposing team’s safe once they get close it. They can also be useful for protecting allies from opponent attack team by placed in the center of the map.
Long ranged brawlers and thrower type brawlers have very different preference depending on which map they play on. For example, the melee type brawler is useful when the path to the opposing safe is complex or when there is a lot of bushes. Conversely, the long ranged brawler is useful when the path to the opposing safe is straight or the map is wide. Thrower type brawlers are preferred if the safe is isolated by fences or lakes.
There is one thing to keep in mind while playing this mode. The goal of this mode is to destroy opponent’s safe rather than defend your team’s safe. So, no matter how perfectly defend your team’s safe, you can never win the game if you are not good at attacking.
No matter how well defended, the brawlers with high health and thrower type brawlers will eventually break through the defense line and will attack the safe. In addition, even if you defend the opponent’s attack, and counterattack immediately, the resurrection of the opponent’s brawler would have been done already when you reach the safe. So, the attack is much more important than defense. Therefore, the best way is to catch the timing to attack with minimal defense while giving your opponents no time to attack your safe.
