1. Warden of the Silent Sorrow

Location : Brotherhood of the Silent Sorrow

Behavior (Attack pattern)

  • Slam : He slams the ground with his weapon, causing a shockwave that travels a fair distance.
  • Jump : He will make a high jump, possibly causing contact damage.

2. Ten Piedad

“I am awake in a sleeping body”

Location : Mercy Dreams

Behavior (Attack pattern)

  • Sprout Smash : It will smash the ground with both hands, making vines sprout from the ground on both sides.
  • Swipe : It bends down and swipes once.
  • Sprout Spit : It will spit vine sprouts.
  • Vine Stomp : Make vines sprout.

3. Tres Angustias

Tres Angustias

“Liberated, you three prayed as one
Liberated, you three pleaded as one
Liberated, you three were born as one.”

Location : Grievance Ascends

Behavior (Attack pattern)

  • Lightning Strike : They shoot lightning at player. This attack comes from the small spear wielders.
  • Rotating Lightning : The one wielding the golden staff with the two balls on the ends will throw it and it will circle around her.
  • Huge Purple Lightning : These three women merge into one entity and shoot a huge purple laser beam vertically where the entity is standing.

4. Our Lady of the Charred Visage

“I can feel Our Lady between these walls. I can feel her warmth, for her face still burns, a reminder of her sacrifice and ours. The pain, the cold and the burn are our Rules.”

Location : Convent of Our Lady of the Charred Visage

Behavior (Attack pattern)

Phase 1

  • Laser Beam : This boss shoots a purple laser beam out of its hand. One short blast that follows and one rotating blast with four points. Moves towards whichever side of the beam the Penitent One is standing when first telegraphed.
  • Flame Blast : It shoots a starburst of small balls of light, snaking up and down while rotating around the center of the hand.
  • Multiple Orange Balls: It shoots a line of larger, orange balls at the player. The important thing is these projectiles can be deflected back at the boss’s face to deal damage.

Phase 2

  • Her second hand appears and fires purple laser pinwheel : After the second hand appears, the purple laser beam attack can result in a rotating cross of laser beams, firing periodically.

5. Esdras, of the Anointed Legion

“Sister of mine, as I foretold to you, someone is heading towards the forbidden gate.”

In game description

Location : Bridge of the Three Calvaries

Behavior (Attack pattern)

Phase 1

  • Hammer Attacks : Esdras swings his hammer in front of him. Also, he will spin while moving forward. These attacks can be dodged.
  • Knock Back Attack : He hits the ground, creating a wave of energy that deals damage and pushes away the Penitent One.
  • Spinning with Lightning : He starts to spin and crosses all the ground side to side leaving a trail of lightnings behind him.

Phase 2

  • Lightning Attacks : He starts to spin on place throwing projectiles on both directions. He also rises his hammers summoning a lightning storm in front of him.

Phase 3

  • Perpetva appears : With about a third of his health left, Perpetva will join the battle to help her brother. The boss fight remains relatively similar to Phase 2, as Esdras behavior don’t change, but player now have to be careful about Perpetva’s dive attack.

6. Perpetva, of the Anointed Legion

“That madman could not bear the death of his sister. He’s still talking to her as if she were there beside him. Sometimes it even seems as if they were arguing. He’s long gone and hasn’t been seen since.”

Location : Mountains of the Endless Dusk, Bridge of the Three Calvaries

Behavior (Attack pattern)

When first encountered

  • Lightning Strikes : Perpetva will summon lightning to strike the Penitent One. This attack is made with a telegraphed particle effect. He can also cast a quick strike of lightning, causes moderate damage. In most cases, it is too fast to avoid with a slide.
  • Slow Charge Attack : After taking some damage or time passed, he will come down and line its height with the player, making a charge with its lance.

7. Exposito, Scion of Abjuration

“The little one stopped crying as soon as we placed him in the arms of that wicker woman, as if it were his mother. Sometimes I can’t help but think there’s something living in that wicker. Sometimes it seems to be rocking him in the darkness.”

Location : The Sleeping Canvases

Behavior (Attack pattern)

Phase 1

  • Poison spit : The boss lets poison fall from its mouth, damaging the Penitent One. In variation version, it performs a loop while throwing poison spit to the ground.
  • Throws Thorned Disc : The boss throws a thorned disc that flies in a straight line and returns to the boss.
  • Fireball Attack : It throws a fireball that bounces on the ground.
  • Scorpion Tail Strike : The Boss uses its scorpion tail to strike the Penitent One.
  • Lunge : The head of the snake thing lunges at player.

Phase 2

  • Multiple Fireballs Attack : It shoots three fireballs simultaneously. The fireballs can bounce on the ground.
  • Double Scorpion Tail Strike : Strike scorpion tail blow two times.

8. Melquiades, The Exhumed Archbishop

“I have witnessed the exhumation of the Archbishop. I have witnessed how they cleansed his bones in wine to then dress him in silk and gold. I saw them place the most beautiful jewels on his face and kiss his forehead. I watched as they placed rings on his fingers and kissed his hands. They lifted him up, calling his name, and swayed him to make it look as if he was walking again.”

Location : Mother of Mothers

Behavior (Attack pattern)

  • Lightning Beams : Multiple blue lighting beams appear from the sky.
  • Hands Attack : Multiple hands reach up from the bottom of the platform and attempt to grab the player.
  • Staff Strike : Melquíades strikes his staff down in the direction of the player. This attack mixes with lightning beam in second phase. In second phase, he plunges his staff directly downward across the entire platform. After each plunge, a blue lightning beam strikes from above.

9. Quirce, Returned By the Flames

“He was unjustly condemned to the stake for heresy, and the inquisitors bore witness to the flames engulfing his body amidst an atrocious communion of prayers and cries. Still, when it was over, and the flames had died, the merciful Miracle called them forth again, and from them, from the ashes and embers, the body of Quirce rose anew.”

Location : Wall of the Holy Prohibitions

Behavior (Attack pattern)

  • Sword Dash Attack : Quirce crosses his arms in front of him and dashes forward, leaving a trail of circles that shoot up into flaming beams after him. He stops slightly before hitting the opposite wall of the arena.
  • Sword Whirl Attack : He grabs onto the ceiling and throws his spinning sword, which either bounces off of the ceiling and floor or runs along the floor and walls.
  • Sword Throw : He throws his sword straight in the player’s direction, which shoots a jet of flame backwards as it becomes lodged in the wall.
  • Flame Leap Attack : He teleports away, attempting to land on the player and creating huge jets of flame where he lands. When less than 50% health, he creates a small wave of 5-6 jets. After this attack, he teleports to the middle of the map for a while.
  • Flame Dash Attack : He crosses his arms in front of him and rushes in the Penitent One’s direction, attempting to collide with him. This attack covers approximately 50% of the map, and he dashes between 2 and 3 times.
  • Sword Recover : He teleports to the wall where his sword is lodged and tears it out, slashing in the direction of the Penitent One and creating a wave of flame jets that cover 50% of the map.

10. Crisanta of the Wrapped Agony

“I, Crisanta in penance, excommunicate you, expel you, execrate you, with the blessing of Our Miracle of the Greatest Pain.”

In game description

Location : Archcathedral Rooftops

Behavior (Attack pattern)

Phase 1

  • Slash Attack : Crisanta uses the sword to deal damage in front of her. This attack can be parried and dodged.
  • Parry : This is a defensive technique. If attacked during the parry, the attack will be blocked and followed by a slash.
  • Jump : She jumps backwards gaining space with the Penitent One.

Phase 2

  • Charge Attack : She disappears and reappears in a corner charging forward at high speed. Sometimes, she charges from the air to the ground.

11. His Holiness Escribar

In game description

Location : Deambulatory of His Holiness

Behavior (Attack pattern)

  • Fireballs : Escribar casts a rain of fire.
  • Toxic Balls : He casts toxic balls.
  • Lightning Bolt : He casts a lightning bolts.
  • Projectile Attack : He casts purple projectiles directly in front of him.

12. Last Son of the Miracle (Final Boss in Blasphemous)

“Now you see me awoken as the son of the True Miracle”

In game description

Behavior (Attack pattern)

  • Lightning Bolt : Up to three Lightning Bolts are created, and is indicated by two blue symbols, followed by a column with blue particles floating in the air.
  • Toxic Balls : Up to five toxic balls are generated across the screen, moving towards Penitent One. Platform can block the balls, and the balls can be deflected away slightly if hit. This attack is indicated by 2 green symbols.
  • Fireballs : The portal moves from the top of the screen to fire multiple fireballs. This attack is indicated by two red symbols. Attacks occur only after the boss loses more than half of its health.
  • Purple Laser beam Attack : Indicated by two purple symbols, and purple particle clusters are displayed at the bottom of the screen, creating a large vertical column that covers a large area and moves away from or in the center of the screen.

The Golden Sword : The Last Son of the Miracle will summon a large golden sword decorated with jewels. The boss will be invulnerable until the sword is defeated. The sword has one big eye, and only the eye of the sword can be damaged.

  • The sword will swing in a circle towards the Penitent One, knocking him back. This attack cannot be rolled under, and can only be blocked.
  • Secondly, it will slightly move up, and then slam onto the ground, creating a shockwave which moves across the floor.
